The Reeves Institute for Future Leaders in STEM and Design is a nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that every young person—regardless of background or income—deserves access to high-quality education, mentorship, and opportunity. Based in New York City, we are dedicated to serving underserved and underrepresented youth across the five boroughs through immersive programs in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), and Design.
In a city known for its creativity, diversity, and innovation, too many students are still left behind due to systemic inequities. That’s why our free programs specifically target teens ages 13–17 from historically marginalized communities—providing them with hands-on learning in fashion, construction, architecture, digital design, and other disciplines that shape the future of our cities and economies.
We don’t just teach technical skills—we cultivate visionaries. Our students learn to think critically, solve problems, and lead with confidence. Whether they’re building wearable technology, drafting architectural models, or coding design solutions, they are actively reshaping their futures and the future of New York City.
Our programs are entirely tuition-free, made possible by generous donors, grants, and community partnerships. This model allows us to eliminate financial barriers and focus on our mission: to create access, ignite potential, and build a more inclusive pipeline of leaders in STEM and Design fields.
Because the next generation of New York City’s designers, engineers, and innovators should reflect the full richness of the city itself.
