Programs

At the Reeves Institute for Future Leaders in STEM and Design, we are committed to building equity through education and innovation. Our programs are designed for teens ages 13–17 from underserved and underrepresented communities across New York City, offering free access to creative, skill-based learning that bridges the gap between classroom concepts and real-world careers.

We know that exposure is everything—especially when it comes to industries like science, technology, engineering, math, and design. Many young people in our city have the talent and drive but lack the opportunity to explore these fields in meaningful, hands-on ways. That’s where we come in. Our programs introduce students to the power of design thinking, the excitement of building and making, and the confidence that comes from solving real problems with their own ideas.

Through courses in fashion construction, architecture, product design, digital technology, and more, students learn not only technical skills but also collaboration, leadership, and entrepreneurial thinking. Each class is led by industry professionals, mentors, and educators who reflect the communities we serve and are dedicated to lifting up the next generation of innovators.

We don’t just offer classes—we create space for possibility. Our programs give students access to tools, materials, industry insights, and mentors they might not otherwise encounter, all within a supportive environment that celebrates creativity and resilience.

Every project completed, every prototype built, and every design pitched is a step toward a future in which our students see themselves not only as learners—but as leaders.
